Session Schedule at the Nature-based Education Pavilion
The Nature-based Education Pavilion at the 2025 IUCN World Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi will showcase global innovators bringing nature back into learning and learning back into nature.
Coordinated by the IUCN Commission on Education and Communication (IUCN CEC), this 100 m² hub will feature indoor and outdoor spaces highlighting green school grounds, biodiversity and climate education innovation, policy, youth engagement, and place-based learning. The Pavilion aligns with the Convention on Biological Diversity’s Global Plan of Action on Education for Biodiversity and IUCN’s 20-year vision, underscoring education’s role in conservation.
Activities include thematic days on climate and biodiversity education, leadership training, youth-led sessions, environmental games, art exhibitions, storytelling, and evening networking events.
