🔎 Call to Action: Marine Site-Specific Conservation Objectives (SSCOs)
This request was commissioned by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Environment (EU Environment and Climate) and submitted to the Science Service for Biodiversity via the Knowledge Centre for Biodiversity (KCBD) ticketing system under the EU-funded Horizon Europe BioAgora Project.
The Expert Working Group has identified a set of scientifically relevant parameters that could support the development of quantitative SSCOs, including ecological, connectivity and health dimensions.
We are now inviting experts to review and validate these parameters based on their scientific knowledge and experience. Your input will help identify which parameters are most relevant and suitable for developing robust, scientifically based SSCOs that can support effective conservation of marine habitats and species.
📋Please find more about the request and access the expert validation forms here: https://eklipse.eu/calls/
If you have expertise in the marine habitats or species covered by this work, we warmly invite you to contribute.
Thank you for supporting this important process for the implementation of the EU Habitats Directive and marine biodiversity conservation!
