Join us for a webinar on Ecological Connectivity Conservation in Europe!

As part of the Horizon Europe NaturaConnect project and WCPA Europe, we invite you to an upcoming interactive webinar where we’ll explore the critical role of connectivity in conservation, especially in light of the EU's ambitious 30x30 target. This target aims to protect 30% of Europe’s land and marine areas by 2030, but achieving it will only be possible with a connected network of ecosystems that allow species to thrive across borders and scales.

Ecological corridors are key to ensuring that species can move freely between protected areas, adapt to climate change, and maintain healthy populations. Ecological corridors help connect isolated habitats, reduce fragmentation, and enable biodiversity to thrive across the landscape. 

This webinar will feature early results from the work being conducted by NaturaConnect in a pan-European connectivity analysis for terrestrial ecosystems. To improve connectivity conservation planning, the project has created Guidelines for Connectivity Planning in Europe, which will also be presented and discussed in this webinar.

This will be an opportunity to both learn about these products and early results from the analysis, as well as to provide inputs and feedback on the guidelines and about knowledge needs for connectivity planning.
