Thematic sesion

Youth involvement for next generation leadership

Organiser: Jane Goodall Institute Belgium

For realising the transition to a more sustainable life and healthy environment for the well-being of current and future generations, the involvement of youth is crucial. There is an urgent need to enhance their knowledge on the issues of biodiversity and climate crisis, showing positive results from actions taken, guiding and supporting youngsters in getting involved in decision-making and in implementation. The thematic session will give focus on ways for youth empowerment – with an introductory video message from Dr Jane Goodall for whom involving youth to take action is a priority. The other speakers will give information on their actual programmes and activities for enhancing awareness and actively involving youth in actions for a more sustainable growth and healthy environment.
