EUROPARC Federation is an association of protected area managers with approximately 400 members in 40 countries. It has been working on Protected Areas Management Effectiveness for a long time, and in cooperation with the European Commission is preparing a methodology for its assessment for both Protected Areas and Natura 2000 sites. During the session, we would like to discuss our methodological approach and the experiences of others, including the possibility of contributing our experience to the development of a European unified methodology.
