Abstract
This session will explore ocean management and ecosystem-based marine spatial planning (MSP) using the MSP Challenge. This interactive strategy game uses role-playing to help participants understand the dynamic and complex relationships between the different stakeholders, sectors, and activities involved in MSP.
You will gain insight into how various goals and uses —such as Sustainable Blue Growth (SBG), the blue economy, land-sea interactions, shipping, clean and healthy seas, and maintaining good environmental status—interconnect when applied to (almost) real-world marine spatial planning.
