The continent has to rethink how it funds its conservation and sustainable development agenda in light of donor fatigue, global economic instability, and shifting geopolitical interests in the Global North.
Meanwhile, innovative finance, private capital, diaspora engagement, and domestic resource mobilization are emerging as pivotal tools.
