The IUCN Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia is seeking a qualified consultant to develop the Western Balkans Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR) Plan under the ADAPT 2.0: Nature-based Solutions for Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation initiative.
This regional plan will support the Western Balkans in meeting actions defined through the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans (GAWB) and initiate implementation for biodiversity conservation and sustainable use by 2030, aligned with the EU Biodiversity Strategy, the Global Biodiversity Framework, and other international commitments.
The consultant will be responsible for developing a detailed methodology and work plan, facilitating stakeholder consultations across governments, academia, civil society, and experts, drafting strategic goals, measurable targets, and a monitoring framework, and preparing the final WB6 FLR Plan with actionable commitments and financing strategies.
